Our Values

Corporate social responsibility

Traditional business wisdom states that the only objective of organizations is to make a profit.

The stories of Shell (Brent Spar platform), Nike (child labor), Enron, Worldcom, Andersen, Parmalat and of course, just yesterday, the sub-prime crisis, Lehman, AIG, the US auto industry, Madoff, and many others, teach us that, when profit is the only driver, the outcome is rather more likely to be value destruction than value creation.

Today, an organization that does not create genuine, sustainable value for all its stakeholders will encounter increasing difficulties in attracting and retaining clients and a loyal staff - those men and women forming what we like to call "our most precious asset".

Gender balance

The importance of gender balance for organizations is widely acknowledged. However, the number of women in senior management and, even more so, at board level, does not even come close to matching the number of men. It is still much more difficult for ambitious women to reach the top than it is for their male peers and the reasons for this are yet to be fully understood.

On top of being a question of ambitious women's rights, it is a question of utmost strategic importance for organizations to become better at attracting, retaining and leveraging female talent.

Diversity

Imagine your preferred garden. Now, imagine all its flowers are of the same color, and all its birds sing in unison. That would not only be horrible, such a garden would also be unable to survive.

Organizations are easier to build and to structure with people who think alike and behave through the same habits. But such an organization will soon fail for lack of attractiveness and inability to innovate and to adapt to changing expectations.

Diversity is a prerequisite for long-term success.

Teamwork

In our "knowledge society", teamwork is no longer mechanical nor imposed upon us by a "perfect" structure. It builds itself on a culture of shared vision, enthusiasm and cooperation. Motivation and emotional intelligence are its drivers.
